Design

This design is inspired by the roofline and architectural silhouette of Warehouses No. 3 to No. 5 at the former Songshan Tobacco Factory.

Songshan Tobacco Factory was once an important site of Taiwan’s modern industrial history. It has since been transformed into Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, a major Taipei landmark that brings together historical architecture, exhibitions, and design culture. The repeated rooflines and industrial proportions of Warehouses No. 3 to No. 5 are among the architectural elements most closely associated with the visual identity of the former factory site.

TAIWANIZE reinterprets the warehouse roof and façade structure through a black-and-white, woodcut-like line drawing, turning the site’s transition from industrial memory to cultural creative space into a Taipei culture T-shirt made for everyday wear. “1937 VIBES · 2026 NIGHTS” connects the factory’s architectural history with the design energy of Taipei today.
